Sometimes I speak too soon, because she’s been sleeping for an hour now. Of course I could’ve been napping, too, but one never knows how long babies will sleep when one puts them down. If only she knew English. This would be a lot easier.
During quiet early mornings like this, I see that she is worth all day-to-day drama. She’s full of crankiness. But she’s MY little baby shampoo-scented bundle of crankiness. And that’s why we stay.
she’s beautiful and precious. And 29.5 years from now she will thank you for putting up with her shit.
It’s the quiet moments that make you grateful for all that you have. As soon as the screaming starts again, though, it’s easy to forget about.
